In this intensive course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of sewing and gain the confidence to create your first garment. A shorter option for those who can’t commit to our full program!

What You’ll Learn In Our Beginner Sewing Bootcamp:

• Sewing Machine Mastery: Discover the essential parts and functions of a sewing machine, learn proper threading techniques, and practice basic stitches.
• Fabric Selection and Handling: Choose the right fabrics for your project, learn about different types, and handle them with care.
• Essential Sewing Techniques: Master fundamental stitches like straight stitching, backstitching, and zigzag stitching, as well as techniques like hemming and seam finishing.
• Garment Construction: Follow a step-by-step guide to construct a garment (students can choose between a skirt or pants for their project.

Prerequisites:

• Absolutely NO prior sewing experience required.
• A willingness to learn and have fun!

Materials:

• Sewing machine provided for use within the classroom.
• Students will need basic sewing tools for the class. For convenience, we now offer the Taylor M Beginner Sewing Kit, which includes the essential tools used. Students may either purchase the kit or bring their own tools using the supply list provided.
• This class does NOT consists of pattern drafting. A commercial pattern will be provided for your project (students can decide between a pants or skirt)
• You will be required to purchase your own fabric for your project (our instructors will guide you with this process)

Registration & Policies

To secure your spot, a non-refundable deposit is required. The deposit amount and payment structure are outlined at checkout. Your space is only confirmed once payment is received. Payment plans may be available, with the remaining balance due by the start of the first class.

TM Academy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes with insufficient enrollment. In such cases, fees paid will be refunded or transferred to a future class date. A minimum number of students is required for classes to proceed.
